Bondceram B412 is the most advanced and convenient to use ceramic adhesive. It provides a good bond to most ceramics and most higher temperature metals including steel and iron. It is more convenient in that it will form a partial bond with air-drying at room temperature in a low humidity environment. This will allow for partial assembly or testing prior to the application of heat. It has a service temperature of up to 3000 ° F. Bondceram 412 is a two-component system of a liquid and powder. It’s mixed together and will have a pot life of a few hours. Mixing yourself has the advantage of allowing multiple viscosities from a light liquid for smooth surfaces to a viscous paste to use as a caulk or to attach gasketing. Once the bond is cured it is very resistant to most environments

Bondceram B412 should be applied to both surfaces. Once the joint is formed the bond will dry at room temperature usually overnight. This initial set can be accelerated by the use of a low temperature 170 ° F drying cycle. Additional bond strength can be obtained by a subsequent full drying at 300 °F. If the joint will be subject to slow heating in its initial use that will form and cure the bond.
