PERFORMANCE E606 Epoxy

Performance E606 is a great epoxy. This is the best choice for repairs in conventional environments. It has both high strength and shock resistance. It bonds everything from treated Teflon and rubber to glass and ceramic. It has been used to repair carburetors, manifolds, transmissions exposed to both high temperatures and solvents like gasoline. It has been used to assemble aircraft both bonding and sealing joints. Performance E606 is an excellent potting and sealing medium providing excellent environmental protection of critical components. It maintains most of its properties over a large temperature service range of -90°F to 300°F. For special applications E606 is available in a range of thickness and fillers to suit specific application.

Performance E 606 is easy to use. It has a standard mix ratio of 1 to 1 but is tolerant of an improper ratio. The 2 components should be mixed thoroughly but slowly so as to exclude air. Small amounts can be well mixed by spatulating with a blade against a flat surface. Apply the adhesive to one or both sides of the joint. Then push the parts together in a way (roll) that will have the air move one way. Do not work the joint as air is often sucked into the joint space resulting in a void. Cure can be carried out overnight at regular room temperature but can be greatly accelerated using a heat cure such as 1 ½ hr at 200 degrees.
