| PERFORMANCE E660 Epoxy 550°F
Performance Epoxy E 660 is the highest temperature rated epoxy. It
can withstand continuous temperatures up to 550°F.
It is your standard 2 component epoxy where equal amounts of activator
and base are mixed together and then heat cured. If heat curing is not
possible please refer to E606 epoxy. It has a high quality and strength
and can be relied upon as a permanent component or repair.
If the mass appears too viscous for your application then the base
may be heated to about 130°F to facilitate
mixing and application. Thoroughly mix the 2 components together in
equal amounts. The resulting mixture has a 2-½ hr pot life at room
temperature. Apply the mixture to the cleaned surfaces to be bonded
making sure you have completely wetted them. It is necessary to have a
heat cure to develop the high heat properties. First pre-cure phase is
at 200°F to 225°F
for 2 to 3 hours. Lastly the bond should be exposed to 300°F
to 400°F for 16 to 24 hrs. to complete the
cure.
